Time to take a look at this week's Artist Spotlight! This week we head north of the border to London, Ontario, Canada and check out the sounds of Ken Yates. Ken Yates is an up and coming singer-songwriter who has a delicate and richly melodic voice that brings out the best qualities of his music and who he is as a performer and a person. He just recently wrapped up his studies at Berklee College of Music and is getting ready to bring his own blend of folk music to a wider and far reaching audience! His music has also been getting the notice of John Mayer, who mentioned him on his Tumblr blog recently saying that he was really moved by the performance he gave of "I Don't Want To Fall In Love" when John was teaching a songwriting course at Berklee this past March. A flattering compliment from an already established star such as John Mayer is a big push for Ken and should give him ample motivation to further his career! A wonderful and immensely talented singer with plenty of hopes for success in the future! Some of my favorite songs from him include "I Don't Want To Fall In Love" and "Into The Backseat".
