The first Artist Spotlight feature of 2014 is officially here! Today, we head down to Braintree, MA and come across the sounds of Nick Santino & The Northern Wind. You may remember Nick from his prior band A Rocket To The Moon which disbanded this past August, and Nick has decided to head out on his own with this folk rock leaning effort that cuts exceptionally deep both lyrically and sonically, and showcases a different facet of him that we haven't had the opportunity to witness before but is gradually developing into something extraordinary right before you. I had the opportunity to check out his Audiotree session recently, and it was incredible the way he was pouring out his emotion into every song he was playing that left me enthralled by the time his set had concluded, and made me convinced that he was well on his way to something special with his new musical project that is vastly different from his old band, and gives us an opportunity to glance inside his personal life and see all his influences that have bubbled up to the surface to show us the talented musician that he is inside and out. A terrific on the rise talent that definitely has the potential to go places. Some tracks for you to discover from him include "It's Alright" and "The Story You Should Tell".
