Artist Spotlight: Mike and Cody

Kicking off your Election Day in style with an all new edition of Artist Spotlight! Appropriately enough, we head down to the nation's capital Washington DC and check out the patriotic sounds of Mike and Cody. The duo is a fun and eclectic mixture of Foster The People meets MGMT with an innovative and cutting edge style that is all their own and is tailored made to fit their own unique musical personas. It's terrific to see up and coming artists paying homage to some of their influences that have gotten them this far and it almost sounds exactly like their musical heroes, but you know that the music is all their own and defines their personalities as well, something that is extraordinarily difficult for artists to accomplish fully, but they do a great job of ensuring that the beats are rampant all the way throughout and that the audience is fully enjoying themselves with the electro infused keyboard sounds running amok in their headphones. An amazing act with a huge bevy of potential coming forth right at their feet. Some recommended tracks for you to discover include "Monster Soul" and "I'm Gonna Steal Your Date".
