Artist Spotlight: U.S. Royalty

Hey everyone!

Check out this week's edition of Artist Spotlight! This week, we have an up and coming band right out of the nation's capital, Washington D.C. called U.S. Royalty. The band consists of John Thornley on lead vocals, Paul Thornley on guitar, Jacob Michael on bass, and Luke Adams on drums. The band has an intense, vivacious melodic undertone to them that sets them apart distinctly from other acts out there in the scene. The band's sound contains elements of classic rock acts from the 70's such as Fleetwood Mac with its nostalgic electric guitars and anthemic sound exploding out of the speakers instantaneously upon first contact. I had the opportunity to catch these guys in concert a couple of months back at Brighton Music Hall performing with Broken Records, and they really developed a first impression upon me with John's amazing vocal abilities and the band's incredible musicianship that kept me focused on their performance the entire night with great fervor and anticipation. The great thing about going to shows is finding bands you've never heard of, especially an opening band that really leaves a lasting impression on you that you'll remember for quite some time. Some tracks for you to check out from these guys include "Equestrian" and "Monte Carlo".
