Warming you up this week with another edition of Artist Spotlight! This week, we have a local band right out of Boston, MA called Bomb Pilot. The band consists of Tony DiBlase on lead vocals, Davey Goldfarb on lead guitar, Alex Le on bass, and Chris Cucinotto on drums. The band has a funky yet straightforward approach to their music, faintly reminiscent of classic rock and funk, but each member brings a different element to the table that all works together when the pieces are fitted together and combined. The band recently played their very first show this past Saturday at Copperfield's in Boston which I just happened to attend, and I was very impressed with what I saw. The band's intense sound is both unique and groundbreaking at the same time, and you can just tell from the sound how meticulous and crafty each member is in bringing each of their individual musical backgrounds to the forefront and presenting the finished musical product to an eager and curious audience. A promising upstart act with a huge amount of potential for great success in the future. Some of my favorite tracks from these guys include "Saving Face" and "Can't Outrun Myself".
