Hailing out of Philadelphia, PA Vacationer has released their debut EP titled "Gone". This is a highly experimental effort that brings together elements of dream-pop and indie-rock rhythms to create something truly extraordinary and groundbreaking and one that has never been heard before.
The EP opens up with my favorite track off the disc "Trip", a hypnotic, mystical track that immediately transports you to a world of paradise and earthy, wondrous dream pop rhythms similar to that of Beach House, but taken to a whole new level never before thought possible. The vocals coo and weave in and out of the insatiable rhythms to create something that is totally out of this world. "No Rules" is another stellar and amazing track that takes a different trajectory of the prior track and continues its ascent into greatness with more toned down dreamy rhythms heard this time around, giving the listener a little bit of a different flavor. The vocals sound at their best on this particular track and instantly makes the listener feel relaxed and right at home on this one. The EP's title track takes a journey through some light synth arrangements and the spectacular and breathtaking vocals aiming directly for the skies with genuine, heartfelt emotion tugging at you instantly upon the time you hit 'Play'.
Overall, a spectacular and groundbreaking here from Vacationer, who have made a great first impression and have brought together a plethora of musical influences to the forefront and have created something that has never been heard by human ears before.
