Artist Spotlight: Julia Easterlin

Hey everyone!

Back for the first Artist Spotlight for the month of April that is different from some of the other emerging talent that I've uncovered previously. This week, we keep it local in Boston and discover the sounds of an emerging talent by the name of Julia Easterlin. Julia uses a combination of various distinct sounds including her own vocals, loops, drums, and beats that when combined together, create something that is unlike anything that has ever been heard before. A project that she released just last week revolves around her song, "Eyes on the Prize". The song which is available from her website, adds an interactive musical listening experience to the mix by allowing you to choose from three silent, homemade videos that are designed to play along with the track as it plays in the background. A lot of upstart acts are trying different methods to get their music across, and this effort is among one of the most creative and organic methods developed to get music out to the general public. Julia is an extremely talented and diverse individual that is primed for exposure on a greater scale sometime soon down the road.

For more information on Julia Easterlin, head on over to her Facebook page at: www.facebook.com/juliaeasterlin If you want to check out Julia's interactive "Eyes on the Prize" listening project, head on over to the project's official website at: www.juliaeyesprize.com Simply play the song from the player at the top of the page, then select one of the three videos that you wish to view to go along with the track, hit play then just sit back and watch the magic unfold!
