Kicking off another edition of Artist Spotlight for the week! This week, we take a look at a brand new rock act based out of Brookfield, CT called One More Weekend. The band consists of Connor Quinn on lead vocals and guitar, Grant Morrison on backup vocals and guitar, Jeff Spencer on drums, and Steve Triebe on bass. The band has a rhythmic, straightforward pop-punk sound similar to bands such as Mayday Parade and We Are The In Crowd. The band doesn't feel the need to do anything too drastic to their sound, they just play the music that they feel will best connect to their audience and keep them coming back for more. Connor's vocals are very simple and melodic, and doesn't have that screamo intensity that most other bands within their genre possess and wouldn't fit very well within their musical agenda. A great upstart band with the opportunity to be even more polished and noticed by peers within their scene in the months to come. Some tracks that stood out from the rest include "Take Me Over" and "Someday".
