Artist Spotlight: The Cinnamon Band

Hey everyone!

Starting off your Tuesday with another edition of Artist Spotlight! This week, we head down to Virginia and discover the sweet sounds of The Cinnamon Band. The duo consists of John Harouff on guitars and Neil Campbell on drums. The group has a distinct, organic folk/indie rock hybrid similar to that of Fleet Foxes, but with a much more country oriented approach and a strong sense of rhythm and being in tune with one another that helps make the songs pop and stand out from the rest of the pack. Their sound is indicative of the type of music that is popular in the Virginia area and also enables them to act as a beacon to help other on the rise acts from the area gain notice and traction, and also helps them to learn to work together with their peers and help each other out, which is what upstart musicians try to do as much as they can. A great duo with a pure, unadulterated sound that can go anywhere with just the right timing.

The duo just released their brand new 7" last week containing the songs "Black Love" and "Tough Love" via Funny/Not Funny Records.
