Artist Spotlight: The Foresters

Hey everyone!

Rounding out the month of August with an all new edition of Artist Spotlight! This week, we travel down to Bethany, Connecticut and check out the emerging sound of The Foresters. This group is also the youngest band that I've ever covered on my blog, as the band members all range in age from 9-12. The band consists of brothers Evan Nork on guitars and lead vocals, Hayden Nork on bass and backing vocals, and Liam Nork on drums. The band has a youthful, vivacious pop-punk sound to them similar to that of Green Day and blink-182, and at a remarkable young age have all the musical tools necessary to make it in this business. The band mostly plays shows in and around the CT area, and have an immensely energetic and youthful stage presence that completely exemplifies the beginnings of a great pop-punk band in our midst and shows that age need not apply when describing the capabilities of such a youthful and talented group of musicians gathered right here before you. A exquisite and immensely talented group that has all the makings of a wonderful pop-punk outfit that I can't wait to see what will sound like in 5-10 years from now. Some recommended tracks for you to take a listen at include "Better" and "Mug Shot".

For more info on The Foresters, head on over to the group's Facebook page at: www.facebook.com/theforestersband where you can listen to the band's music directly from the site among a host of other features. The band is also able to be followed on Twitter at: www.twitter.com/forestersct  where you can get all the latest show updates directly from the band and also see where they'll be playing in your area!
