Artist Spotlight: Air Traffic Controller

Kicking off your Halloween with a brand new installment of Artist Spotlight! Today, we stay true to our roots here in Boston, and come into contact with our very own Air Traffic Controller. The band consists of Dave Munro, Rich Munro, Steve Scott, and Casey Sullivan. The band's music is an upbeat blend of indie/alternative rhythms conjured upon a striking vocal presence and upbeat instrumentation that puts you at ease right away, and allows you to listen with an open mind ready to take in all the sights and sounds emanating right in front of you and around your ears. I had heard of these guys by name only, and I wasn't too familiar with their music at all but I was quite pleased with what they had to bring to the forefront with the transition between male and female vocalists, and layered upon a harmonic wavelength of bliss shows that this is a true group effort and they have a definite musical chemistry together that is fully realized here. A great up and comer to the Boston scene that is worthy of some additional press here on the site. Some songs for you to discover from them include "If You Build It" and "You Know Me".

For more information on the guys in Air Traffic Controller, head on over to their Facebook page located here and see all the musical delights that they have whipped up for you. You can also follow them on Twitter as well from this location here and see when they'll be making their way to your hometown sometime soon.
