A quick update from the story I broke to you on Monday regarding the demise of cartoon rock band Gorillaz. According to the fine folks over at Pitchfork magazine, the cartoon band have not broken up, despite all the reports coming in saying that they have disbanded. A representative for Damon Albarn said that all is well with the group in this statement:
"Despite rumours to the contrary, Gorillaz are alive and well and misbehaving in London W10."
The influx of rumors surrounding the breakup of Gorillaz stems from a People magazine article that quoted a source saying that a massive argument between Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett ended the group permanently, while Jamie jetted off somewhere with his girlfriend and Damon holed up somewhere to finish up his opera and his comeback album with Blur. But thankfully, all is well in the Gorillaz camp!
