Kicking off the first Tuesday of August with a brand new edition of Artist Spotlight! This week, we have a piano infused pop/rock act out of Greenwich, CT called Run On The Sun. The band consists of Brett Steinberg on lead vocals and piano, Alessandro Chille on bass and backup vocals, Ethan Armstrong on drums, and Itamar Gov-Ari on guitar and backup vocals. The band has a straightforward, organic component to them that is reminiscent of acts such as Jack's Mannequin and The Fray with the piano melodies blending in nicely with the breezy guitar arrangements laid out in plain view here. The band's sound is primed and ready for summer and you'll find a great companion to take along with you to the beach, on your summer road trip, or whatever you have planned for the day. It's comforting to hear a band that doesn't need to rely on synthesizers or any type of electronic gizmos to express their sound and just rely on ordinary, natural instruments to express who they are as musicians and also a glimpse into who they are as people.
