With yesterday marking the official calendar start of summer, I'd thought I'd give you a rundown of some of the songs that have made it onto my annual summer playlist. With barbecues and bountiful trips to the beach destined to be in the minds of lots of music lovers, here are the songs that are the perfect accompaniment to those summer excursions and ones you can't escape that won't leave your mind for the rest of the summer, creating a lasting impression on those summertime memories.
