Artist Spotlight: The Hundred Days

Hey everyone!

Tuesday has arrived and that means it's time for this week's edition of Artist Spotlight! Today for you guys I have a band from the city by the bay, San Francisco, CA called The Hundred Days. The band consists of Jonathan Smith on lead vocals, Jimmy Chen on guitars and keys, Collin Crosskill on drums, and Brett Zaldo on bass. The band has a funky, rhythmic dance rock feel to them similar to the likes of Franz Ferdinand and they hit right at the groove center of the brain with a barrage of guitar driven rhythms and Jonathan's smooth and groove laden vocals that allow the songs to have incredible depth and rich melodic undertones. Alot of bands out there are experimenting with elements of dance in their songs to attract listeners from different genres and it works really well to an extent, but for these guys it's even more evident with the way they implement these styles into their songs and combine them with other rhythms that really connect with the listener in a fun and dynamic way. Some of my favorite songs from these guys include "Sex U" and  "Disaster".

This is the first single off their brand new album "Really?" which will hit stores sometime in August. You can view the video for "Sex U" directly below:

In need of inspiration, look for another kind of U, as in getting an online university degree.

See where the possibilities can take you.
