Artist Spotlight: Moss Points North

Hey everyone!

Time for this week's edition of Artist Spotlight! This week, we're keeping it local with an up and coming band right out of Boston called Moss Points North. The band consists of Colin Lee on lead vocals and guitar, Pat McCusker on electric guitar, Jesse Gottlieb on bass, Isaac Richardson on piano, and Jeff Samatoro on drums. The band has a very pleasant and soothing indie rock sensibility that stands out prominently the minute when you first hear them. Colin's amazing and delicate vocals flow together seamlessly with the band's richly organic sounds comprised of a mix of guitars and piano that work together really well on a melodic scale. With the influx of upstart bands out there in the music world connecting with listeners in the digital realm, it's very comforting to hear that there are bands out there who are keeping it straightforward and simple by not adding any extraneous noise to their music that can sometimes bog down the true meaning of their music. Some of my favorite songs from these guys include "Float Away" and "The Owls".
