Hey everyone!
Hope everyone had a relaxing Labor Day weekend! Returning this week with a brand new edition of Artist Spotlight! This week I have for you guys an up and coming band right out of Dracut, MA called Apollo Starfleet! The band consists of Ryan Moloney on drums and vocals, Jesse Ryan Graham on guitars and vocals, Caitlin Lento on keys and vocals, Jesse Robichaud on bass, and Jared Blake on lead guitar. You might remember Jesse Robichaud as drummer from his old band The Dead Beats, whom I did an Artist Spotlight on last year. This band takes a more direct, alt-rock approach with hard knocking rhythms and a straightforward, melodic hard-rock sound that gets straight to the point with incredible drum patterns to match. A lot of up and coming local bands experiment with a host of different genres and sometimes it's difficult to discern what genres the band is dabbling in. With this group, it's pretty clearcut what the band's message is and what it will deliver to its audience in the process as well. A great first start to a band that we hope to see more of in the near future.
