Bringing to you another platter of Artist Spotlight! Today, we jet on over to Chicago where we come across the funk infused sounds of whysowhite. The group consists of Big Fat Nick on vocals, MC, and percussion, Charlie Moonbeam on vocals and MC, D-Pop Fantastic on vocals, dance, and congas, Dngr Miller on guitar, Suga Sean Candy Carolan on bass, and Brahmz on drums. The band has an highly enthusiastic funk sound similar to Sly & The Family Stone with its electric stage presence jumping right in front of you, giving you a truly bombastic listening experience unlike no other. I caught their recent performance on Audiotree, and I was enthused with what they had to offer musically, and was impressed with the band's brilliant hooks and dazzling melodies working their way into my collective consciousness almost immediately, and leaving an indelible impression in the process. An amazingly talented group that is working their way up the musical rungs on the ladder. Some recommended tracks to take a listen at include "The Approach" and "Exhale".
For more info on the fellas in whysowhite, move on over to their Facebook page right here and 'Like' it to see what they have to offer you on their musical menu. The band can be followed on Twitter from this locale here and see when they'll be making their way to the Boston area sometime soon. Visit their official website over here for more in depth information concerning the gentlemen, including most importantly links to their music which is readily available on a host of digital music platforms.
