Artist Spotlight: Luke Potter

Today's edition of Artist Spotlight comes to us from an artist you may know about already due to the interview that I posted just last week, Luke Potter. For those who need a little refresher, Luke is an extremely versatile and talented singer-songwriter emanating from Weston Super-Mare, a small coastal town in the United Kingdom, and has a simple, structured playing style similar to the likes of Goo Goo Dolls and Augustana with a strong emphasis put on melody and harmony that functions together quite well. I've heard of Luke by name only when one of his songs was played on the radio last summer, and I liked the straightforward approach the song took and didn't have to rely on extraneous musical effects that would have otherwise destroyed a truly delicate and passionate song. It was a honor to speak to Luke over the phone last week when conducting the interview, and I truly admire his dedication to his craft that is quite evident when you listen to his music as a whole, and I look forward to featuring him on the blog again in the future!

For more information on Luke Potter, click on his Facebook page here and 'Like' it as well so you can stay up to date on all his tour announcements that will hopefully be making its way stateside here in the U.S. this coming year. He can be followed on Twitter as well over here where you can communicate with him directly on an one-on-one basis and see what he's up to this very minute. If you would like to check out his debut EP titled One Day, it's available for free download on NoiseTrade at this link here and more of his music has been made available for purchase on iTunes as well if you're willing to have a listen. Plus, if you haven't already, check out the full transcript of my interview with Luke right over here.
