Wrapping up the week and beginning the month of March with another all new edition of Artist Spotlight! Today, we head down to Skillman, New Jersey and find out about The Antics. The group consists of Luke Meisenbacher on lead vocals and guitar, Derek Rosengarth on guitar, Kyle Hammerschmidt on bass, and Josh Reitan on drums. The band has a tough, gritty garage rock component to them similar to The Strokes with a little bit of Interpol mixed and thrown in for good measure. I've heard of this band previously, but never had the opportunity to check them out until now, and they're well worth your listening time with fast paced guitar riffs that get their message across pretty quickly, and a strong vocal charge that allows the band to stand out from the hundreds of other bands out there today. A great band that proves that Jersey boys know how to rock and roll with the punches. Some recommended tracks to check out from them include "Touch the Sky" and "Honeycomb Diploma".
