Artist Spotlight: Dan & The Wildfire

Cool off today with a refreshing, all new edition of Artist Spotlight! Today, we have a local Boston band that I think you would enjoy that goes by the name of Dan & The Wildfire. The band consists of Dan HL on lead vocals and guitar, Thom Brennan on trumpet and backup vocals, Matt Hines on keyboards and vocals, Sam Katz on bass and vocals, and Kyle Jenkins on drums and vocals. The band has a refreshing, melodic folk rock based complexion that has influences ranging from The Avett Brothers to Mumford & Sons with an exquisite and outstanding musical spirit that can be felt in full force almost immediately upon first listen. I didn't need much time to develop an impression of these guys when I first heard them, and I could clearly tell how passionate they were about their craft, and how meticulous and dedicated they are to music and ensuring that each song starts and stops on cue, while also having a sound lyrical foundation that ensures the listener is following along with great fervor and anticipation of what they're going to do next. An amazing local band that deserves to get more recognition beyond the confines of the Boston area. Some recommended tracks for you to have a listen at include "Californ-ia" and "Mexico".

For more information on the guys in Dan & The Wildfire, head on over to their Facebook page here for all the latest of what the band has to offer you musically. The band can be followed on Twitter from over here and find out when the band will be stopping by the Beantown area sometime soon! The band members also have individual Twitter accounts that can be followed from that location as well. Visit the band's official website here for more wide ranging features pertaining to the band, and check out their latest album "Smoke Signals", now available at a host of physical and digital music retailers near you.
