Artist Spotlight: Isotopes Punk Rock Baseball Club

Wrapping up the week and heading into the long weekend with an all new edition of Artist Spotlight! Today, we head down to Louisville, Kentucky and check out the rocking sounds of the Isotopes Punk Rock Baseball Club. The band consists of Evan October on lead vocals and guitar, Dallas Duststorm on lead guitar and backing vocals, Dan Undahand and Tony Hustle on drums, and Rookie Rochelle on bass and backing vocals. Their music is an intense, enjoyable punk blast reminiscent of The Ramones and a dash of Sex Pistols with songs that speed through at under the 2 minute mark with a fast and furious combo of guitars and drums that will leave you begging for more by the time the songs have all concluded. What really drew me to the band was their affinity for all things baseball, and seeing that I'm a huge baseball fanatic, it made me love the songs even more and allowed me to blend in with the punk-rock crowd, even though I'm not a huge punk-rock fan. It also gave me the ability to find a common ground with something that I enjoy immensely in my spare time watching and something that I spend a great deal of time involved in, music. A terrific upstart band that is definitely worth your listening time. Some tracks for you to have a listen at include "Rule 21" and "Operation:Vamos".
