Kicking off the week with another edition of Artist Spotlight for you! Today, we head over to the West Coast to Visalia, California and uncover the groovy sounds of Herb Stalk. Herb Stalk is primarily a solo artist with a three piece backing band that has a extremely diverse and wide ranging sound, packing influences from Bob Marley to Jimi Hendrix with a mellow, easy going vibe permeating the music as you listen to it while driving in your car or relaxing on a day off at the beach. I was quite enthused when I first heard Herb's music as I'm a huge admirer of the rock/reggae hybrid blend as it brings together the best of both worlds with a unique sound that I feel comfortable listening to and one that I'm familiar with also. Herb is an extremely talented individual who also has the ability to multitask as he doubles on the keyboards on occasion, which leads to an extremely fulfilling and worthwhile listening experience as a whole. A great upstart musician that is definitely deserving of some exposure here on the East Coast as well. Some recommended songs for you to check out from him include "A New Future" and "Social Comment".
