Artist Spotlight: Roam

Time for another edition of Artist Spotlight for the masses today! We're going to head across the pond to Eastbourne, United Kingdom just east of Brighton where we come across the intense and vivacious pop-punk sounds of Roam. The band consists of Alex Costello on lead vocals, Alex Adam on vocals and guitar, Sam Veness on guitar, Matt Roskilly on bass, and Charlie Pearson on drums. The band has a youthful, fun loving vibe to them that is reminiscent of blink-182 and The Starting Line with their passion and enthusiasm well represented throughout the lyrics and sound that totally defines who they are as musicians and regular chaps as well. I first heard of them when two of the members stripped down and appeared on the Critical Wave UK "In the Tub" series that I've mentioned countless times here on the site and I was curious to check out their sound which I was very impressed with and how they were able to communicate with the listening audience as well at their shows, something which is essential for any band to master the art of as it gives fans a chance to interact and eventually become lifelong and devoted supporters of the group in the process. A terrific up and coming act that is worthy of some attention here in the U.S. Some tracks for you to enjoy include "You Never Said" and "Sticker Slap".

For more information on Roam, give them a 'Like' on Facebook here and discover what they're all about. You can follow them on Twitter from this location over here and find out if they intend on performing here in the States sometime soon. Visit their official Bandcamp site right here to listen to their latest effort titled "Head Down" along with all of their other music that they've released as well.
