For today's edition of Artist Spotlight, we venture down to Bowling Green, Kentucky and check in with the psychedelic infused sounds of Morning Teleportation. The band consists of Travis Goodwin on keyboards, Tres Coker on drums, Paul Wilkerson on bass, and Tiger Merritt on lead vocals and guitar. The band's musical style manages to take in late 60's era psychedelic influences, and manages to make them sound current and unique in today's musical climate. I really enjoyed the band's take on this genre of music, and the guys also managed to sneak in some subtle folk elements and more upbeat classic rock influences in their sound that gives off a nostalgic feel, and make you yearn for the bands of yesteryear who had a great deal of influence in shaping the current crop of up and coming bands who are starting to come into their own and make their presence known to a prospective group of music listeners. A great up and coming band that is definitely deserving of more plays in your music library. Some great songs recommended to have a listen at include "Crystalline" and "Expanding Anyway".
