Artist Spotlight: Potty Mouth

To wrap up the week of Artist Spotlight for this Friday, we travel out to Northampton, MA and uncover the punk infused sounds of Potty Mouth. The band consists of Abby on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Ally on bass, Phoebe on lead guitar, and Victoria on drums. The band has an intense, driven punk edged sound reminiscent of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts with a modern touch to it and a cutting edge drive that makes the girls wholly unique and stand out from all the other bands from the pack. I was impressed with the talent that these women exhibited, and their ability to craft fast paced, sonically pleasing tracks that accurately portray the sound that they were aiming to create when they were recording these tracks in the studio, and the confidence and talent they have is exuded all throughout their music. A promising young act with a great deal of potential for further success down the road. A recommended track for you to have a listen at is the recently released "The Spins".

For more information on the girls in Potty Mouth, head on over to their Facebook page here and don't forget to 'Like' it as well so that you can stay in the know with everything that they've got going on in their world. You may also follow the group on Twitter as well from over here and find out when they'll be stopping by the Boston area with a concert appearance sometime soon.
