Proud to bring you another installment of Artist Spotlight for today! We're going to head down to Greensboro, North Carolina where we come upon the harmonic bliss that is Holy Ghost Tent Revival. The band consists of Stephen Murray, Matt Martin, Kevin Williams, Hank Widmer, Charlie Humphrey, and Ross Montsinger. The band has a horn filled, folk enthused sound similar in vein to their neighbors The Avett brothers with their own unique image that has an undeniably enthusiastic image and tone that it's almost impossible not to enjoy with the good natured melodies and high energy instrumentation providing endless amounts of joy and spiritual warmth along the way. I was floored the very instant I heard these guys, and I couldn't help but notice the harmonic wavelengths working their way through almost instantly on contact, and put me in a positive frame of mind right away and I couldn't seem to wipe away the smile off my face that still brims politely as I write the article this very instant. A terrific, undiscovered band that is well worth mentioning here on the site. Some recommended tracks deserving of a listen include "Telephone Wire" and "Po Jenny".
