Seal Beach, CA's RX Bandits are returning after a 4 year hiatus as they announced they will be recording a brand new studio album and releasing it exclusively via PledgeMusic. The band have been on hiatus since 2011, but the band returned last year when they hit the road in commemoration of the 10th anniversary release of "The Resignation" and the band looked back fondly after that tour concluded and realized what they enjoyed the most about performing live, the fans.
I've been a huge RX Bandits fan ever since their Drive Thru Records years, and they have been the one band that I always appreciated for evolving from their early ska phase and into a band that genuinely cares about the music they put out, but most importantly they love and appreciate each and one of their fans and are incredibly social with their fans after a concert, whether it be interacting with them in person, signing autographs, or taking pictures, they are the real deal. I had the pleasure of meeting Matt Embree in concert over a year ago playing acoustic solo at TT the Bear's, and he was as humble as can be and was very accommodating when I asked to get my picture taken with him. He is truly a gifted musician, but most importantly a terrific human being and so are the other guys in the band.
